Writer, photographer and long time friend to Larry Rivers and the Larry Rivers Foundation, John Jonas Gruen has a new book coming out, “AS TIME GOES BY”. The Larry Rivers Foundation is happy to support John’s great accomplishments. We are particularly pleased with the fantastic cover shot. The writer and long time friend to Larry Rivers, Barbara Probst Solomon continues to honor her affiliation with Larry by incorporating his work into the Reading Room: The twice-a-year literary journal in book form was created in 2000 by Barbara Probst Solomon, the publisher and editor-in-chief, with the support of the founding Board including Saul Bellow, Stanley Crouch, Juan Goytisolo, Donald L. Maggin, Norman Mailer, Daphne Merkin and Larry Rivers.

As with other issues, issue eight incorporates a reproduction of one of Rivers paintings for the cover art. The work is from Rivers’ Art and the Artist series and is called “Personage on the Lam”. It’s a portrait of Wifredo Lam with one of Lams paintings.

The Larry Rivers Foundation is honored to support Barbara’s great accomplishments and we encourage everyone to pick up a copy of the Reading Room. This is the type of work that Larry supported his entire career.
